Rahat Fateh Ali Khan responds to controversy over his Bollywood songs
It’s just the second month of the year 2018 and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has already given us three lovely songs that can be heard on loop. The three songs are namely- ‘Ishtehaar’ from WELCOME TO NEW YORK, ‘Sanu Ek Pal’ and ‘Nit Khair Manga’ from Ajay Devgn & Ileana D’Cruz starrer RAID.
However the recent comment by singer turned politician Babul Supriyo has again highlighted the controversy regarding why Pakistani artistes are still allowed to work in Bollywood films.
Rahat’s song were pushed into controversy when Babul Supriyo demanded Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice be dubbed in the final cut or replaced by an Indian artist's voice. He demanded that the Bollywood industry should not engage with Pakistani artists and called for the song to be scrapped.
Reacting to that Rahat posted on a micro-blogging site, “In midst of so much being said all I can say is music has no boundaries and thank everyone for showing so much love for the songs which I am a part of”
