Raima Sen talks about signing films
Whether it’s signing a film or anything -- Raima Sen has been very selective and always chose to work in a movie which has some social connection.
Commenting on her choice of films, Raima said, “I am open to films which are aesthetically sound, with a good storyline under the mentorship of a virtuous director. I am not restricted by any socio, political and cultural taboos. I have performed in ace director Late Rituparno Ghosh’s movie ‘Memories in March’, which deals about homosexuality, and has received tons of accolades.”
Raima appeared in many critically-acclaimed movies such as NIL NIRJANE, CHOKHER BALI, ANTARMAHAL, Bong Connection among others.“I am open to new and challenging roles, which I have never played onscreen.
Raima is coming up with her next political-romantic thriller Bollywood project ‘Anya- the other’, which is directed by Dr. Simmy Joseph. Raima will be seen opposite Atul Kulkarni and Bhushan Pradhan.
The movie is about how an ambitious journalist (played by Raima) landed up in trouble while shooting a documentary on drug mafia.
She also mentioned about her other projects she is working on soon she will be seen in the popular bengali web series, Hello, and she says she is positive that audience will give her a positive response. Hello 1 was super success people loved it a lot and on the demand of audience we have made the second season which is more thrilled, and intensed. Hello is the first web series that I have done and it was great and the response was so good that the creaters asked me for the second season.
