RajKummar Rao is a versatile actor and will be seen in TRAPPED that is releasing this Friday March 17, 2017

For the role, Rajkummar has shed kilos to get into the skin of the character. He just binged on carrot and coffee for days to look lean.

In conversation with Rajkummar as he speaks about striving hard to acquire a fab body, his love for comedy and upcoming films.


When asked about the rigorous schedule he went through while filming TRAPPED, he said, “It was tough and exhausting as well as fun as we had strenuous shooting schedule. I was on a strict diet as I wanted my role to look natural. Due to closed shooting I had blackout. I would survive on carrot and black coffee. It was tough but I guess the result will be enormous when the film releases.”

As the movie deals about an urbanite trapped in a Mumbai high rise building if Rajkummar is phobic of something he shared, “I am scared of heights and initially while shooting. It was difficult for me to look down from the building as we were shooting on top floor. After a week or so I got used to it and now I have partly overcome this fear.”

RajKummar is coined as a serious and method actor when asked him if it’s his conscious decision to take up serious projects and now if he plans to shed his image of a serious hero to which he added, “I am very different in real life. I am fun loving and extrovert. I would love to do a comedy films but I am somehow not approached for it. However, I am doing a film NEWTON which is a sarcastic comedy and how he gets into certain situations in life.”

Being a serious actor or a star what does Rajkummar aspire for, he says, “When you are a good actor you soon attain stardom I want to be remembered as a good actor and eventually things follow.”

Lastly, when asked him if box office number matter to him, he ended, “I want all the films to do well. To an extent it does as it then defines as it’s the hard work of each and every member associated with the film. If one film does well we will be able to make more films, it’s good for the industry.”
