Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra recreates Are Ja Re Natkhat for Mere Pyare Prime Minister



 

National award winning director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to present an ode to veteran Indian filmmaker V. Shantaram with the song 'Bajaa Bajaa' from Mere Pyare Prime Minister releasing tomorrow. 

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has always been a huge admirer of the veteran filmmaker V. Shantaram, hence, as a mark of respect, Mehra decided to dedicate the song upcoming song Bajaa Bajaa to V. Shantaram.

Titled 'Bajaa Bajaa', the peppy song is set against the backdrop of holi and is recreated version of Natkhat from V. Shantaram's Navrang. 

Giving a glimpse into the song, Rakeysh Mehra shared a video announcing the song's release tomorrow, "

Composed by the musical trio of Shankar Ehsan and Loy, the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. 

Mere Pyare Prime Minister presents an emotional tale banking upon the relationship of a mother and son while giving a social message. 

Depicting a child's plea to the Prime Minister of India about sanitation problems in the slums, Mere Pyare Prime Minister dwells on not just one but two social issues, open defecation and rape.

Delivering a social message with an emotional storyline yet again, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who has earlier helmed Rang De Basanti, Delhi-6, amongst others is all set to present Mere Pyare Prime Minister.

The film starring National award winning actress Anjali Patil, Makarand Deshpande, Rasika Agashe, Sonia Albizuri and Nachiket Purnapatre brings together power-packed performances. The musical trio of Shankar Ehsan Loy join hands for the music to the lyrics penned by Gulzar. 

Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen) and PVR Cinemas present, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's directorial Mere Pyare Prime Minister is all set to release on 15th March 2019.
