Biopics are in things in B-town with so many biopics coming every six months, and one of the most awaited biopics is of Sanjay Dutt who opened several facets of his life like an open book and unveiled it in front of his fans and we shall soon see the film releasing on June 29.
With Sanjay Dutt’s life being a little cumbersome and a roller coaster ride it was indeed tough for the rather chocolate looking boy to enact such a role.
Speaking about the same Ranbir Kapoor at the trailer launch said, “For me the hardest part was to enact the role of a drug addict the initial Sanjay Sir, when he lost his mother to the trials he went through it was challenging for me. I am more of a romantic person at heart while in the film I portray a ’ tharki ‘ which was a lil tough for me, infact I would take hours to get my prosthetics done to get into the skin of Sanjay sir. But I enjoyed every bit of it."
When asked if he would love to play his own character if a biopic is made on him to which he said, “ Sanjay Sir is way too courageous to let his life out, I don’t think I will ever be able to do so. He has 308 girls girls in his life, on the contrary I have less than 10 girlfriends,(laughs).”
When asked him what intrigued him to play the role to Sanjay Dutt he said, “ I had posters of Sanjay Dutt stuck in my cupboard and like all of you I have also watched his films a lot, and I am privileged to play this role, as an actor I just enacted but imagine he went through all this in his life.”
On being asked Ranbir that SANJU too has certain bold scenes, what is his take on enacting bold scenes to which he said, “ Right from my first film SAAWARIYA I am doing nude, this isn’t the first time. I am shy in real life but when it comes to acting and when cameras are on I don’t shy away..”
