Raveena Tandon pledges for Pulwama martyrs’ girl child education
Earlier it was Uri and now the Pulwama terror attack that has left the entire nation in a state of shock. From politicians to sports personalities to Bollywood celebrities, everyone took to their social media to grieve the heinous attack on CRPF jawans in Pulwama.
While help is pouring in from all quarters, Bollywood celebrities have also joined in to do their bit and help those affected. A number of stars including megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar are doing their bit and donating to the families of soldiers who were killed in the attack.
It’s learnt that Raveena Tandon, who is known for her philanthropic work and her association with various noble causes, has decided to donate her contribution for the martyr’s girl child education. The talented actress visited New Delhi recently for a Rotary Club function organized to generate funds for the families of the martyrs and donated and pledged to fund the education of martyrs’ girl child based in Pulwama.
Raveena says, “It’s an appeal to the people to come forward and support the families of our jawans who lost their lives serving the nation. They really need our help and every donation, no matter how big or small, will count.”
