Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

THE RESIDENT EVIL is one of the famous film series presented by the Constantin Films that began in 1997. It has emerged as one of the prominent action horror movies over the years and has been released in 6 series. Way back in 2017, the seventh part of the film was announced by the makers which is said to be the reboot.

As per Variety.com, the film has undergone production and found its writer and director. Constantin Films have roped in Johannes Roberts to helm the film. The Resident franchise stands prior for Constantin ever since the announcement was made. The franchise has cumulatively earned $1.2 billion worldwide to date and is notable for being the highest-grossing film series based on a video game.

Based on the classic video game, the franchise followed Alice, played by Milla Jovovich, as she fights not only the zombies terrorizing Raccoon City after an experiment gone wrong but the evil Umbrella Corp. Its last outing was RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER that released back in 2016.
