Without a shred of doubt, SARKAR (2005) ranks amongst one of the finest works of Ramgopal Varma, till date. The brilliant script, camera angles, performances and most importantly Ramu's execution, kept the audience glued to their seats from the first to the last frame. No wonder that, when the sequel, SARKAR RAAJ, was announced, a lot of excitement was generated. And we were there to tell you about the first day of the shoot in Hyderabad. Originally planned as a December release, the movie is presently listed for release in February.

However, as per recent media reports, the three Bachchan starrer (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya) may actually release in April 2008. While the usual 'post-production' line is being given for the delay, the inside buzz is that, Ramu wants to add a few current happenings, in his much awaited film. What those new incorporations will be is not very clear. There are also talks about some legal hassles.

The official word about the delays of the almost complete movie (as per Ramu) is that, there was never any release date given in the first place. What that translates to is simply that all the postponement talks are hypothetical!
