Richa Chadda would return as a 55 year old in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR - Part 2
Richa Chadda has earned quite a few brownie points for herself after a bravura performance in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. Well, for those thinking that after the death of her on-screen hubby Manoj Bajpayee in the film, would she have a part to play in the second installment of the Anurag Kashyap directed film, here is the deal. As has been revealed, she is one element that remains common to both the parts and would soon be seen in a 'bindaas' fiery act all over again, though in an even more mature 'avatar'.

"Yes, I am there in both the parts. Life span of the character played by me is from the age of 16 to 55. This was a great opportunity to play a young girl and then step into the shoes of an old lady," says Richa.
Apparently Anurag was in two minds to cast her as an older lady as well and was thinking of options to rope in someone else.

"Yes, initially there were talks to take someone else to portray the character of an old lady. Somehow not many were confident that I would be able to essay a 55 year old. Anurag was apprehensive and said, 'tu to bahut choti hai, nahin kar paayegi'. I persisted though and now that he has seen the results, he is claiming before the world that here is a girl who is amongst one of the best actors in the film industry," smiles Richa, "When someone like Anurag says that I am the next best thing to watch out for, I am bound to flattered. Of course I am in the seventh heaven."
Well Richa, you deserve it.
