was on the top of the affairs in Part I of GANGS OF WASSEYPUR
where she held on to her own despite Manoj Bajpai
and Tigmanshu Dhulia leading the bunch. Even though there was competition from the likes of Raima Sen
and Huma Qureshi
, she didn't mind an overcrowded space and actually made it her own. Now even in Part II, she is expected to bring on the magic all over again.
"Well, which heroine won't like to dominate her man (Manoj Bajpayee) even though he is a gangster in the film and everyone out there is scared of him," says Richa after a hearty laugh, "This is the reason why I always say that the role picked up by me was definitely the right choice. Even if I say it to myself, I feel that in the entire series my role is the strongest in terms of structure and length. Of course everyone out there has enjoyed good space to perform and showcase their abilities. After all, Anurag knows how to take care of that. There are no shallow characters out there; everyone has a lot of depth." CHECK OUT: Richa Chadda would return as a 55 year old in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR - Part 2
Today she doesn't want a repeat of the long break that she suffered from between OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. No wonder, she too is deep diving into the world of movies and would now be seen in multiple outings over next one year.
"I have already received three crossover offers and am going through the round of meetings. Anurag and the film have given me this platform; it's on me to capitalize on that now," says Richa with good hopes in her voice before signing off.
