RIP ‘Ek Do Teen’! Jacqueline is emotionless & plastic. We miss you Mads
Madhuri Dixit is known as the epitome of dance & grace. No one can match her even relatively close. She has given Bollywood some iconic dance numbers including, ‘Ek Do Teen’, which made her a star overnight and it was a chartbusting number way back in 90’s thanks to her moves & grooves, her attire to her expressions it’s still one of the most loved numbers. In fact whenever we remember the 90s ‘Dhak Dhak’ queen, Madhuri, one definitely remembers her famous dance track ‘Ek DO Teen’ from TEZAAB.
With recreations happening in Bollywood off late, many numbers are reprised so that the new generation gets the feel of it in all new pepped-up style. However, not all the recreated songs make way to our hearts (PS: recreations can never replace the magic of originals)
Now Jacqueline has stepped in the shoes of Madhuri as she is seen dancing on iconic number of Madhuri’s Ek Do Teen, for BAAGHI 2.
She even learnt dancing to match the steps, leaving no stone unturned. In fact even Madhuri top posted her excitement on social media to see the latest version.
‘Ek Do teen’ was launched today and Jacqueline looked hot recreating the dance number. But, well her hotness was only limited to her bikini top and gyrating her fab abs and nothing beyond that. It’s surprising Jacky, who impressed one and all in the song ‘Jumme Ki Raat Hai’ from KICK, was expressionless here. Icing on the cake was blink and miss apperance of Prateik Babbar. he was hardly there in the song for fraction of seconds.
She couldn’t match up with the steps & grace of Madhuri. On the contrary, she was a complete disaster. The song needed a certain vibe and energy but Jacky failed miserably.
Jacky is known for dancing but comparisons with Madhuri can’t be averted. Jacky appeared like a mannequin and couldn’t emote or even lip sync properly.
Ahmed Khan the chorographer tried his best to mix and match steps but Jacky failed to give a magical touch.
There was a sequence in song, wherein Jacky’s cut- out was there and then came the real Jacky trying to groove, that sequence was itself so very clear that she lacked energy and thump for the song. The song has not been touched much lyrically and musically.
At the end we can say, this song is a huge disaster and its RIP ‘Ek Do Teen’ in real sense.
We badly miss you Madhuri!
