Actor Robert Downey Jr honored late Marvel legend Stan Lee while accepting the Male Movie Star award at the 2019 People's Choice Awards. The actor received the award for his impeccable performance in Avengers: Endgame.
While accepting the honor, the actor who brought tears in the eyes of Marvel fans after the death of his character in Avenger’s Endgame made sure to heap praises on the creator of Iron Man/Tony Stark, among other classic Marvel superheroes.
He dedicated his award to the late legend Stan Lee who with his brilliance created the Iron Man along with other Marvel superheroes.

"Well look, I just got to come up here and open the show so I'll just say thank you, Disney, thank you Marvel, thank you Russo brothers. And most of all, to the late, great Stan Lee, this is for you, buddy," said the Iron Man star as he bid adieu to his superhero avatar with Avengers: Endgame this year.
Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95 in Los Angeles last year in November.
Following the news of his death, Downey Jr took to Instagram to pay his condolences and tribute to the comic book legend, who co-created who gave the world a unique blend of most legendary Marvel superheroes.
"I owe it all to you… Rest in peace Stan… #MCU #Excelsior #memoir #rip #StanLee #TeamStark," the actor wrote in the caption alongwith a photograph of the Iron Man actor standing arm-in arm with Lee.
