Actor Rushad Rana is a well-known face, not only on the small screen but also on the big screen. And that too some very prestigious and big projects like Yash Chopra’s timeless classic, VEER ZAARA, Ramgopal Varma’s iconic SARKAR and Vishal Bhardwaj’s recent vintage venture RANGOON, to name a few. He will next be seen in another awaited project, MAATR which is scheduled to release this Friday.
Says Rushad, “I did MAATR primarily due to Raveena Tandon, as also the director, Ashtar Syed, an old college friend from Xavier’s. So let me speak first about Raveena Tandon. She is a wonderful, dedicated and warm person, but most importantly, she does not carry her star persona to the sets. It was a great experience working with her.”
Elaborating on his role in MAATR, the actor revealed, “I cannot speak much but as is known I play Raveena’s husband, who doesn’t want to live with her, due to certain turn of events in their life.”
Speaking about the director of MAATR, Ashtar Syed, the actor said, “I have already said Ashtar is a dear college friend. Actually there is something interesting. We were going to collaborate on some other project but somehow MAATR came about, and I am glad it did.”
When we queried Rushad Rana about his other projects, he told us that right now it is a south production will be made in Hindi and later dubbed and released in south languages as well.
Before leaving, the good looking actor spoke about his current television projects and it is an impressive list, SASURAL SIMAR KA, KOI LAUT KE AAYA HAI and QUEEN, and not to forget the ever favourite, CRIME PATROL.
