Bollywood ‘Bhaijaan’ Salman Khan’s last film SULTAN did wonders at the box-office and also won its viewer’s heart. This romantic sport drama was recently even screened at Busan International Film Festival where the audiences showered their love on this Salman Khan flick whole-heartedly. Now SULTAN is all set to be screened at International Film Festival of India under Indian panorama section at Goa.

Starring Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh- SULTAN a romantic action drama was based on the life of fictional Haryana based wrestler & mixed martial arts specialist Sultan Ali Khan. Produced by Aditya Chopra SULTAN went on to become one of the biggest grossers.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar said, “SULTAN is the story of introspection, of the ‘fight within’. As director this aspect of the story excited me. I also found it thrilling that love, a universal emotion plays a pivotal role in it. That it picks a homegrown Indian sport of wrestling, and leads it to the evolution to mixed martial arts (MMA), SULTAN integrates the concept of ‘mitti’- son of the soil- in its soul. It's the running metaphor between life and sultan's character. To have basket full of emotion like love, happiness, pride, fall, resurrection, redemption and finally glory was difficult but what was more difficult was to keep the story simple. Simple stories are always the most difficult to tell. That we succeeded in achieving this with SULTAN is gratifying.”
