Selena Gomez speaks about her personal insecurities
Selena Gomez who was recently admitted to the hospital in September in an interview with Elle magazine had said that she always had issues with her self-esteem. The prominent singer had collaborated with Puma to release an active-wear range for females called Strong Girl, something she believes will help empower young women to feel strong and beautiful, irrespective of their body type.
“I get really insecure sometimes,” she told Elle. “I go through weird ups and downs, but in general I just want people to wear what they feel comfortable in.
“I think it’s important for girls to know the strength in everything, their identity and their soul lies within themselves.”
As per a Business Insider reports, Selena has long suffered from depression resulting to which was off from her career in 2016 to focus on her mental health and get treatment for her anxiety. In a conversation with E! News reports, the actress said while she enjoys pilates and functions best when her body and mind is healthy, the clothing collection isn’t necessarily for working out.
Her assistant too wears the same outfits but doesn't workout as she feels comfortable just sporting them. \"It’s just become a lifestyle, and she loves it. She loves how she feels and she loves how she wears it, and that’s what I want everybody to feel. She’s inspired me a lot too.” said Selena.
