Over the years, Shabir Ahluwalia has etched a special place in viewers’ heart and continues to climb the popularity charts year on year with his role of Abhishek Prem Mehra aka Abhi on Zee TV's immensely popular show Kumkum Bhagya. For the past 4 years, the primetime show has set new benchmarks not only in terms of ratings, but also with its relatable characters and
captivating storyline. Every year, the viewers cast their vote for their favourite stars and shows for Zee Rishtey Awards, and both Shabir and Kumkum Bhagya lead the way with maximum awards under their belts year after year. This year was no different with Shabir clinching the ‘Favourite Beta’ trophy. An elated Shabir said, “I am thankful to the entire team of Kumkum
Bhagya, Zee TV and my loyal audiences for giving me this award. My wife, Kanchi Kaul rarely appears with me at award functions and today her presence has proved to be lucky for me. I, therefore, dedicate this award to her and my kids, Azai and Ivarr who have been my constant pillar of strength and support.”

A lot of fun and excitement is in store at the upcoming Zee Rishtey Awards with a stellar lineup of power-packed performances, lively acts, comical gags and much more! While Indian television’s leading and most favourite couple Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) romantic act will make you all dreamy and make you fall in love once again, hosts Ravi Dubey and Dheeraj Dhoopar’s funny one-liners and on-stage camaraderie are bound to leave you in splits. The live performance of the songs Tera hero idhar hai and Jiya laage na by Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s judges Wajid Khan and Sona Mohapatra will take you on a magical musical journey.
