While we know about his romantic side, very few know that Shah Rukh Khan is a director’s actor. The characters that he portrays - Rahul or Raj, being over the top romantic are directors’ vision or the anti-hero roles that he has done in DAAR and BAAZIGAR too are director’s creation of mind.
And yet again Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a grey character.
During the recent media interactions for RAEES when asked Shah Rukh Khan about his character, he said RAEES is not a typical story where a little boy grows up to be a don and then beats up the villain.
SRK adds, “RAEES fitted the bill for me as an actor where I get to be in a zone which is not perhaps my comfort zone but something which is very well-written, very well fleshed out. It's more of a journey of a man from the age of 7-8 and then when he turns 45.”
On being quizzed that he is director’s actor to which king of romance stated, “I am director’s actor. There are times when I don’t agree to certain things and don’t believe it personally but directors make me believe. It’s the character who the audience relates for instance if a girls earning falls down the way I (Raj) looks at actress who will do it on real life, or RAEES singing ‘Zaalima’ with open arms. These are the characters that I portray but in real life I am not so romantic I am practical.”(smiles)
Well after hearing all this all you girls who fell in love with SRK just for the way he loves to be in love can now open their eyes, come out of the fantasy world and know that deep down SRK is a practical man and that his roles demand him to be romantic.
