Actress Shilpa Shetty's family has landed in sudden legal trouble. Shilpa, her mother Sunanda and sister Shamita are being dragged to a court by a proprietor of an automobile agency, Parhad Amra. As per a media report Shilpa's late father Surendra Shetty had borrowed a loan of Rs 21 Lakhs and was liable to pay it with interest in January 2017. But Shilpa Shetty's family has denied the allegations and will be proceeding further for hearing on January 29 at the Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Reports state that Parhad shared a cordial relationship with Shilpa’s father and it was in July 2015 that he provided financial assistance to Surendra Shetty for his business.
According to report, “Amra paid the first instalment of Rs 8 lakh on August 20, 2015, from his automobile agency account, then a second one of Rs 5 lakh on September 5, 2015 from his personal account, and the third one of Rs 8 lakh on October 7, 2015 from his automobile agency's account. All payments were made through cheques drawn in the favor of Surendra's firm 'Corgifts'."
Opening up to a leading daily, Shilpa Shetty told, " I have never had any involvement in my late father's business, and have no knowledge at all of the financial dealings of the company. This gentleman is misleading the media. I knew him in the capacity of our family car mechanic that's all."
