Singeetam S Rao: I thoroughly enjoyed making GHATOTHKACH
Shemaroo Entertainment and Sun Animatics's 2D &3D mixed animation film GHATOTHKACH - MASTER OF MAGIC is ready to lure the audience of both new and old generation. The film has been directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Smita Maroo and Vinod Suryadevara.
Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has been the director of several internationally acclaimed films, experimenting with unique subjects and platforms over a span of 50 years and across 60-odd films in his career. He is known for his innovative children's films LITTLE JOHN, PANDAVAS and SON OF ALLADIN a 3D animated film. Other films include the dialogue-less film PUSHPAK, APPU RAJA and MAYURI etc. Singeetam is very much satisfied with the result of film GHATOTHKACH. He says, 'I thoroughly enjoyed the making GHATOTHKACH. It took 2years of continuous hard work. Producers have till now spent 15 Cr. on this film. It's a feature length 'Bollywood Ishtyle' musical animated film of 100 mins. for the entire family. GHATOTHKACH has a lot of action and eight songs. The film features GHATOTHKACH, son of Bhim and Hidimba from the MAHABHARAT as the hero.'
Singeetam Says, GHATOTHKACH, lovingly called 'Ghattu' is the prince of the forest and is blessed with extra-ordinary powers. He has loads of fun with his magical powers, but also uses them to protect everyone around him. As a five year old, he rescues 'Gajju' - a baby elephant which leads to a lifelong friendship. The film is the journey of a prince and his elephant friend - full of magic. When challenged by evil forces that are out to destroy him and to stop him from fulfilling his destiny, Ghattu and Gajju form an invincible team to fight them. Together they unite two soul-mates against all odds.'
