Sohum Shah is riding high on success for his latest release TUMBBAD, for which he got appreciation from critics and film fraternities. He's been in the industry for a long time, but still, Sohum is one underrated actor who needs to be seen more on the big screen. Sohum is someone who has got an unconventional approach towards his work and believes in the
craft more than his vanity.

We tried to be as authentic as possible with every aspect of #Tumbbad. If you take this bike for example, it originally dates back to pre-independence days. We sourced parts, assembled it and got it shoot ready. Just like this, there are many integral elements that made Tumbbad what it is! #Tumbbad12thOctober

While TUMBBAD took almost 6 years to wrap up, Sohum Shah maintained the same physique and look for the film and simultaneously worked on two films SIMRAN and TALVAR without affecting his looks and physique.
Well, Sohum is a person with many talents, he won a National Award for Best Producer for SHIP OF THESEUS. He went on to direct KAAL which released back in 2005, the film did well in the box office as it had ensembled cast of John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Ajay Devgn, Vishal Malhotra, and Kushal Punjabi. Sohum is very well known for his power-packed performance in TALVAR, where he played the character of ACP Vedant Mishra and was cast in 2017 film SIMRAN alongside Kangana Ranaut.
Where people are talking about nepotism, Sohum has broken every barrier by showing his talent in TUMBBAD as it doesn't feature any big names and still the film went on to become a massive hit. Sohum who is basically from Rajasthan said learning Marathi accent was fun.
