Sridevi Funeral : Further delay, case transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution
The unfortunate and shocking death of the Indian diva Sridevi is now taking mysterious turns. After the forensic reports which confirmed that the death occurred due to accidental drowning, now the latest report says that the case has been transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution.
The Body which was supposed to be brought in by now in Mumbai has been taken for embalming (preserving a corpse from decay).
The case has been transferred to the Dubai Public Prosecution, as revealed by Dubai Media Office on their official Twitter page. “Dubai Police has transferred the case to Dubai Public Prosecution, which will carry out regular legal procedures followed in such cases,” said the tweet.
Reports further suggest that Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor may be asked to stay for completing the formalities and if required he may have to answer some questions.
The wait for Sridevi’s in India has got further delayed and it seems the funeral may not take place today. CNN News 18 reports that Sridevi's body may not come back tonight; repatriation experts say 3 more papers are needed.
