SRK honored for his contribution towards women and children welfare!

Shah Rukh Khan has given several award worthy performances. He has entertained the audience by playing all kind of roles, be it romantic or negative he has done it all. Apart from all these SRK is also involved in social work. He has also contributed a lot to the welfare of children and women through various NGOs. Time and again the actor has spoken about women welfare as well as children’s rights and had taken initiative to help them.
Shah Rukh Khan is very closely involved with ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ NGO. He is close to kids and this NGO primarily works in fulfilling dreams of underprivileged children.
He is the founder of the non-profit Meer Foundation, which provides support to female victims of acid attacks and major burn injuries through medical treatment, legal aid, vocational training, rehabilitation and livelihood support. He has also been responsible for the creation of specialized children’s hospital wards and has supported childcare centers with free boarding for children undergoing cancer treatment.
At The 24th Annual Crystal Awards Shah Rukh Khan was awarded for his leadership in championing children’s and women’s rights in India.
Annual crystal awards celebrate the achievements of outstanding artists who have shown exemplary commitment to improving the state of the world. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Cate Blanchett and musician Sir Elton John have also been honored for their achievements.
The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Monday, January 22. Shah Rukh Khan thanked the team and posted a heartfelt note on his social media handle.
On the work front Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in ZERO directed by Aanand L Rai which also stars Anuksha Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
