Superhero character names that are inspired by animals!
Marvel’s much awaited superhero flick ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is all set to hit the theaters tomorrow, July 13. As we are gearing up for the release of the superhero sequel, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, here’s a list of all the superhero characters that have been inspired by animals till date.
Unlike most superheroes, Batman has no inherent superhuman powers per say; he instead relies on \"his own scientific knowledge, detective skills, and athletic prowess. Batman's inexhaustible wealth gives him access to advanced technologies, and as a proficient scientist, he is able to use and modify these technologies to his advantage. Batman has trained extensively in various martial arts, mastering many different types, making him one of the best hand-to-hand fighters.
Bitten by a radioactive spider, Spider-man gets some abilities and amazing powers, which he uses to help others. Spider-Man has the ability to cling to walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense that alerts him to danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, as well as superhuman speed and agility.
A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James Logan’s once mysterious past is filled with blood, war and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
As the leader of the African nation of Wakanda, the Black Panther has banned the evil White Gorilla Cult from his country. Wakanda is the most technologically advanced nations on Earth. With the immense power and abilities and all of his fortune, he has pledged to serve all of mankind. Black Panther has superhumanly acute senses, enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, durability, healing, and reflexes.
In the original ANT-MAN, Hope was just the daughter of Hank Pym, the creator of Ant-Man’s suit. The Wasp – though mentioned, was Hope’s mother Janet, who died when she disappeared into a subatomic quantum realm. In the sequel, we get to see Lilly take on the mantle of The Wasp, and become the superhero she was meant to be, alongside Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. The Wasp possesses the power to alter her physical size, causing her body's mass to be shunted to or gained from an alternate dimension known as Kosmos. She is able to shrink to a minimum of several centimeters or grow to a maximum of several hundred feet. Smaller or larger sizes are possible but the exertion puts a strain on her body.
ANT-MAN has the proportionate strength of an ant in his regular size, which he somehow keeps at exactly the same level when he’s tiny. Scott Lang, to save the life of his daughter Cassie and to rescue Dr. Sondheim who was being held prisoner by Darren Cross, stole Hank Pym’s old Ant-Man equipment and the rest of the story is all that we have seen. Ant-Man had the power to shrink himself (and other people and objects along with himself) to the size of an ant and return to normal.
