These veteran actors roped in for ALTBalaji’s new show!

Ekta Kapoor, head honcho of ALT Balaji, has churned out several web series. Their famous web series being ‘Haq Se’, ‘Dev D’, ‘The Test case’, ‘Kehne Ko hum Safar Hai’ and many more.

Actors like Ram Kapoor, Rajeev Khandelwal, Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Singh and many more have been associated with the series.

And now, ALTBalaji is bringing a story of such spirited characters in their new show titled ‘Home’. Inspired by real life events ‘Home’ is a heart-warming tale of Sethi family and their struggle to save their home, which has been ordered to be demolished by Supreme Court.

‘Home’ brings TV’s most loved actors and veterans Annu Kapoor and Supriya Pilgaonkar to the digital platform for the first time.

Speaking about the show and association with ALTBalaji Annu Kapoor said, "As the shooting of our show has just commenced all I would want to say is this space has great potential. The web space digital medium will leave a great impact on Indian audience and producers if they happen to choose the right kind of content and stuff and presentation it will rock."

Adding to this Supriya Pilgaonkar said, “Working with Balaji was always on my wish list and so when ALTBalaji’s HOME was on my radar I dropped my sabbatical plan. Director Habib Faisal is great at bringing out nuances in the character. ALTBalaji is a great platform for exciting content in digital space. Top production values will give all the viewers a very satisfying experience".

The show will also feature Amol Parashar, who is a popular face in the digital world. “I am very happy with all the interesting stories and characters I am getting to do in the digital world. 'Home' for me is one step further in that direction. A very rooted story with an absolutely fantastic ensemble of actors. ALTBalaji has been constantly pushing the envelope in terms of content and I am glad to be a part of another promising offering,” said Amol when asked about the show.

‘Home’ is a story of ordinary people caught in extra ordinary circumstances. But most importantly, through the chronicles of the society’s residents, it is a story of hope and undying spirit. Directed by the highly acclaimed writer Habib Faizal who is best known for directing films like Ishaqzaade, Daawat-E-Ishq and Do Dooni Chaar, shoot for the show has begun.
