This Marathi film makes it to Cannes film festival

It is national pride whenever art that’s originated from our nation is represented on a world stage and appreciated for the efforts that lead us there, Aurous Avatar Entertainment’s executive producer Nagesh Pujari’s Marathi film IDAK: THE GOAT, directed by Deepak Gawade has been selected for the Cannes International Film Festival to be held May 08 - 18, 2018 in Cannes, France.
 
The film was selected for participation in the festival by the Maharashtra government after screening 26 films.
 
The film tells the story of a man, Namya, who has to get a goat because his mother has a dream in which Mother Goddess asks for a sacrifice and since due to financial instability they cannot afford a goat, Namya sets out to find one. He manages to find a goat, after suffering a fair amount of humiliation. 
 
Mother, son and goat then set out to reach the pilgrimage spot where the sacrifice would take place, but the goat is far from an easy travelling companion. But along the way, Namya rediscovers the meaning of friendship, humanity, sacrifice, and wisdom.
 
Nagesh Pujari has been working in Bollywood for over 16 years now and has worked for movies like AAMIR, GHAJINI, TEEN PATTI, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI, MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA.
 
He was been working in Hollywood as well with projects like SINGULARITY; LOVE YOU TO DEATH, THE DARJEELING LTD and HARE KRISHNA.
