TOTAL DHAMAAL: Anil Kapoor hints at CHALTI KA NAAM GAADI remake with these heartthrobs!

Guys!! This could be ‘TOTAL DHAMAAL’ if this happens!. The jhakas Anil Kapoor and these two heartthrobs of the nation if come together for the modern day version of the evergreen classic comedy CHALTI KA NAAM GAADI. The 1958 iconic musical laugh riot helmed by Satyen Bose saw a casting coup where the real life Ganguly brothers – Askok Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Anoop Kumar played brothers on reel as well with the most beautiful Madhubala.

This is not a speculation but a feeling expressed by the veteran B-town entertainer apna Lakhan urf Anil Kapoor himself. Yes, the versatile actor who is gearing up for the upcoming laugh riot TOTAL DHAMAAL helmed by Indra Kumar – The sequel to 2011 DOUBLE DHAMAAL and the third installment of the DHAMAAL film series. As we all know, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaffrey reprise their roles from the previous films, alongside Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit are the new additions to the lead cast.

The veteran actor Anil Kapoor known for his famous ‘ae ji oji’ swag for the younger lot and for better known an accomplished performer who has excelled in movies like TEZAAB, EESHWAR, PUKAR etc took to his social media handle before getting geared up for TOTAL DHAMAAL and wrote, “Looking to Chalti ka Naam Gaadi for inspiration before shoot for #TotalDhamaal. Don't u long for the innocence & simplicity of those times? If there are any takers, @RanveerOfficial @Varun_dvn & I will volunteer to be the Ashok, Kishore & Anup Kumars of today! Anyone?!”

Hmm… so do you smell the coffee.. anyways in our opinion.. if this happens then Ranveer Singh in the role of Kishore Kumar is sure.. will Varun Dhawan be okay playing the sober simple Anup Kumar while Ranveer enjoys all the fun? Obviously Anil Kapoor will add his ‘jhakas’ quotient to the role of bade bhaiya – Ashok Kumar.

For those who came late, CHALTI KA NAAM GAADI is an iconic landmark in Bollywood musical comedies. The 1958 film featured real life brothers Kishore Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Ashok Kumar, and Madhubala. The evergreen music of RD Burman’s father SD Burman (Sachin Dev Burman) like "Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si", "Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka", "Hum The Woh Thi", 5 Rupaiya Barah Aana’ etc is still played everywhere and sung at reality competitions by young participants.

So are there any takers.. and BTW who is apt to play the today’s version of Madhubala – Deepika, Alia.. Post your choices..
