Vajpayee grieved over Vijay Anand's death

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has expressed grief over the death of veteran Bollywood filmmaker Vijay Anand.

In his condolence message, Vajpayee said Anand, who died in Mumbai after suffering a heart attack, had brought a fresh approach to Hindi films.

"He was an entertainer who never lost sight of the finer aspects of filmmaking," Vajpayee said. "He played an invaluable role in the growth of the art and craft of cinema in India."
