After acting in movies like LOOTERA and DIL DHADAKNE DO, Vikrant Massey is all set to feature in Konkana Sen Sharma’s directorial debut.

Speaking about his character in A DEATH IN THE GUNJ, Vikrant said, “I play a character called Shiamak Chatterjee. He’s from a very small town in West Bengal and is a very bright 23 year old child who’s done his masters and is pursuing further studies. But he’s an introvert. Talking about the film, it’s about this guy who’s coming-of-age. It’s set up in the 1970s, the film begins in 1979.”

We also heard that Vikrant is romancing Kalki Koechlin in the movie. Ask the actor about the same and he says, “Not exactly. You can’t call it that. I would rather say it’s a coming-of-age story with inter-personal relationships. So it would be unfair to say that I’m paired opposite Kalki.”

Sorry peeps, but we also were expecting something more out of Vikrant and Kalki’s pairing, which seems a little difficult now that Vikrant has clarified they aren’t romantically paired. But, well, scripts can change anytime. So fingers crossed.
