Was Aamir Khan’s desire of doing THE MAHABHARATA already a hint about the film in the offing?

That Aamir Khan loves to excel with his every project and surpass himself is something we have been witnessing throughout his career. And now it seems Aamir is set for a new milestone in his career if the grapevine is to be believed.

Well, if we go by the latest updates, then Bollywood superstar will work on on the great Indian epic, THE MAHABHARATA, a mega-budget movie series after completing his film THUGS OF HINDOSTAN. And it will one of the most expensive films of the Indian film industry with a whooping budget of 1000 crores.

The entertainment industry tracker, Ramesh Bala posted on a micro-blogging site. According to him the film will be co-produced by Mukesh Ambani. He even went to claim that the film will be on the lines of Hollywood's THE LORD OF THE RINGS or the GAME OF THRONES in terms of the production value

Quite sometime back Aamir Khan had expressed his desire saying, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people.”

Interestingly, a few months back, Fatima Sana Shaikh was reading The Mahabharata. It was evident from one of her posts on social media. But following speculations of her role in the film, she reportedly removed it from the micro-blogging page.

While there is no official confirmation or announcement as such, it is to be seen this is a mere speculation based on Aamir’s desire or else Aamir is really pushing hard to materialise his dream. Well you never know, and who knows Aamir’s expression of ‘desire’ was probably a hint of his forthcoming venture, so as to create some pre-buzz around. Well, time will certainly tell.
