Bollywood actress-turned-global icon is not just a woman of substance for the sake of it or by just doing women-centric films. Her feminism, her persona, her thoughts, actions on women empowerment also makes her one strong woman to look upto. And this has been not on just once or twice but on several occasions, PeeCee, as she is fondly called, has proved and put forward her stance on women empowerment in her distinct style.
Just a couple of days back, Priyanka had joined Indra Nooyi (chief executive officer of PepsiCo) at the 2018 Forbes Women’s Summit in New York to discuss her journey, from what it was like moving to America to the importance of breaking barriers for women. They spoke about everything from racism and sexism to building empires, making us go, “Yasss queens!” In fact, she went on to make some strong points by saying I’m a big champion of women who take their destinies in their own hands… it is alright to be a fierce female achiever and yet be okay with being vulnerable. Our femininity is our greatest strength.” …and so on…
Now yet again our feisty and fearless actress with her no-holds barred approach comes forth encouraging us to conquer and overcome self-doubt. The shining star on the digital cover of Allure magazine shares her advice on how to avoid self-hate and redefine what is considered beautiful.
