Manisha Koirala, who once ruled Bollywood with films like BOMBAY, 1942 A LOVE STORY, DIL SE among others, is making a comeback with debutante director Sunaina Bhatnagar’s film DEAR MAYA.
During media interactions of her upcoming film when we asked what made her choose a debutante director’s project as her comeback, she replied very calmly, “The script made me choose this film.”
She added, “Actually, Mukesh Chhabra had sent me this script saying it’s a very good script, so I read it and I even loved it. Then, I met Sunaina personally through Mukesh. I loved the way Sunaina had set up this story of Maya Devi in Shimla. In fact I loved the fact that if a girl can write a story like this as she is writer and director. Very beautifully she had shown two different worlds i.e one being dark world of Maya Devi and other of these two bubbly girls. It was so brilliant; hence I was pretty confident about Sunaina directing this film. Also she has worked under ace director Imtiaz Ali who knows art so well all this made me give my nod for this project instantly.”
Well with Manisha singing praises, we are eagerly looking forward to watch this film. DEAR MAYA will hit the silver screens on June 2.
