After the tall and the beautiful Sangeeta Bijlani, AZHAR - the biopic of former Indian cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead has now former Indian cricketer and ex Director for the Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri fuming with anger..

The left arm spinner and right hand batsmen popular for wearing the 'Champion of Champions' hat in the World Championship of Cricket in Australia in 1985, Ravi Shastri was also popular amongst girls during his regime and the Tony D'Souza-directed biopic seem to have stretched this fact to a limit which the veteran Indian cricketer has found it objectionable.

Ravi Shastri is shown as a womanizer in the film and is even shown cheating on his wife during a tour where she accompanies him.

According to reports, Ravi Shastri has complained to the cricket authorities over this issue and is not at all happy.

However the makers have put a disclaimer at the start of the film mentioning that the movie is not a biopic on former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin. Actor Gautam Gulati who plays the alleged role of Ravi Shastri in the film has been quoted  saying that the role may be inspired by Ravi Shastri in looks and appearance but its not Ravi Shastri in real..

But Ravi Shastri seems to have taken it seriously, previously former bollywood actress and ex wife of Azharuddin was upset with Azhar over her portrayal in the film.

Emraan Hashmi is said to have given all he has as an actor in portraying Azharuddin on screen but unfortunately for him, the movie is also finding other unwanted ways to be in the news.
