Sanjay Dutt's Productions next PRASSTHANAM which is a Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu hit of the same name is turning out to be a dive in nostalgia.
After Manisha Koirala, its Jackie Shroff who has joined the cast making it a déjà vu of the nineties. Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff appeared together in Subhash Ghai’s KHALNAYAK and other films.
Interestingly, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala worked together in the 1998 Bollywood drama KARTOOS helmed by Mahesh Bhatt, the movie is said to be loosely based on French film NIKITA.
PRASSTHANAM will have Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala playing a married couple and Jackie Shroff will be seen playing one of the pivotal roles.
Director Deva Katta shares, PRASSTHANAM is a subject which is close to my heart and with Jackie sir joining the team, it's a dream come true for me to be able to work with such a powerful cast. I have always looked up to them and it’s a great opportunity to be able to direct them."
When asked about their roles, Deva Katta said, "Wait and watch who is playing which character. I don’t want to speak much about the film at this point now."
The film which is being directed by Deva Katta, has gone on floors on 1st June and also stars Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur, Chunky Panday and Satyajeet Dubey.
Produced by Sanjay Dutt’s Productions, PRASSTHANAM an intense, thrilling family drama has become an anticipated film to look out for.
