Bollywood is lucky enough to have a plethora of new singers with a varied variety of voices and personalities behind the microphone. However, the earlier decades of Bollywood, sure have produced some of the most iconic music by some of most amazing talent to have ever been part of Hindi Cinema.

So on the occasion of World Music Day popular singers Jonita Gandhi, Shalmali Kholgade and Monica Dogra shared with us about the one song from golden era which they would love to be part of.

Jonita Gandhi: ‘Lag Ja Gale’ is my all-time favourite. I would never want to sing it though; no one can match the original. This is a song I feel like incorporating every single time I perform with my band.

Shalmali Kholgade:
I love how fluid and beautifully naughty the song ‘Ja Ja Bewafa’ is. Coupled with this is Geeta Dutt's tender voice and the way she renders the song!

Monica Dogra: ‘Chalte Chalte Yuhi Koi’ is my favorite. My mom sings that song and it always makes me tear up a little bit. It's one of the most beautiful ballads of its time and I've always wished that I could write a song that would be relevant decades later.

Well we would love to see these talented singers lending their voice to retro version of these old classic songs. Don’t you guys agree?
