Younger now & then, why Rekha is a timeless beauty?

Beauty, what does it mean? How can one define beauty? Maybe a dictionary could help to understand the meaning of it. But to understand it one needs to experience it, witness it or rather feel it. For an actor, beauty is not only about looks, but it also matters with acting, dancing and being graceful. Not all actors have the calibre to ace all three elements and after an age, we usually don't find our favourite stars in good shape or the charm that we witnessed in their heydays or in their youth. But there's one name that hits the mind who has effortlessly nailed these qualities and its none other than evergreen actress Rekha, who is as beautiful, as graceful and as charming as she was in her younger times. In fact, the beautiful star never looked her age or rather made us realise in any way. The Diva who turns 64 this year still looks stunning and glamorous and no doubt gives a complex to many young ladies and till date can give a run for money to many topnotch actresses if she takes on the stage or the screen.

With her amazing expressions and gestures, she still continues to rule hearts and has also been an inspiration for many as apart from acting she has got an extraordinary talent of dancing. She made her debut as a child actress in Telugu film RANGULU RATNAM and as a heroine, her first venture was a Kannada film OPERATION JACKPOT NALLI C.I.D 999. ANJANA SAFAR was her first Hindi film but was released after 8 years due to some censorship issues. And since then she has been spilling her magic over everyone.

Her recent performance at IIFA had left everyone stunned as she made her comeback on stage after 20 years. And BOY! She was totally outstanding, incredible and swayed many hearts. Many hooted and whistled and clapped for her performance from the audience, while a chunk of stars, especially the young guns shook a leg with the evergreen actress. It was a sheer and delight to watch her take on the stage.

She delivered many amazing and chartbusting dance numbers of different dance forms and genres so be it classical, western, contemporary or any other. Out of which 'Mujra' is one of a challenging Kathak dance form which requires a lot of 'nakhras' and 'adas'. Undoubtedly with her spellbound ways and oh-so-gorgeous looks and moves she has given justice to the mesmerising Mujra tracks and even at IIFA, she skipped many heartbeats. As we earmark her birthday, here's taking a list of her dance numbers that are still a part of our fond memories and they will stay forever.

Team Glamsham wishes Rekha a very Happy Birthday.
