The story of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM
As simple as it can get, in the third installment of this insane adrenaline action bonanza, super-assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is labeled as 'excommunicado' due to some violation of the code of the High Table in the Continental lounge. A whopping $14 million price tag is lying on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers are after him. It’s time for action, action and more action.
Keanu Reeves returns and gives one of his career best in this terrifically spectacular action bonanza, Chad Stahelski is fully aware that action is the best bet and if goes right then its unstoppable. JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM pleases its predecessors, takes the lovers of action buffs into such an adrenaline high that they don’t wish to return. Its surreal to find as many as three dozen or more (lost the count) people getting shot on head. Ah! That hits the bulls eye, again and again with variations. Yes, sometimes a judo-style grappling, or a punch and even under water. The bar is raised over here and the de noir genre worshipped with a new rhyme. Ian McShane & Lance Reddick continue as Winston & Charon respectively. The action is stunning throughout, the choreography awesomely amazing. The Silat masters episode is worth every penny. Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon are terrific. But Halle Berry as Sofia the dog-loving assassin is a stunner beyond doubt. The best part is the innovative and imaginative action sequences that are blended with a soundtrack and humour at par with MISSSION IMPOSSIBLE. You know those assassins won’t win over John Wick everyone cannot be Thanos but still you want to see John Wick proving them wrong again and again.
What is the purpose?, such an obvious plot, so much of action, it’s insane and what about depth, layers, that cinematic triumph and humanity etc.?. you won,t find answers to any of these queries.
Those who loved JOHN WICK and JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2, won,t be reading this review and those who are not aware and are lovers of action/de noir or both, then experience this dazzling spectacle of high duty adrenaline action. Its just out of this world, what an awesome reload to the wickuniverse.
