Immediate reaction when the end credits roll
Is this the end, really?!, Is this the way to say goodbye??. After 12 installments spread out over two decades, you keep on stumbling with no rescue. Simon Kinberg what have you done?.
The Story of X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX
So, this is the end. X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (2011) that began during those swinging sixties, that moved further with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (2014) that offered an alternative 1970s and that X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016) that saw the 1980’s mutants resembling Ronald Reagan and now in the 90’s a young Grey (Summer Fontana) in car with her family mom Elaine (Hannah Anderson) and dad John (Scott Shepherd) unable to control her powers accidently makes her Mom suffer as the car crashes leaving her dead. Jean is taken by Dr Xavier (McAvoy). The team— Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) hread towards outer space to rescue the crew of a NASA craft from the dangerous energy burst and in rescue act to save the astronauts Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) with special telepathy and mind reading powers should stop it. But she can do it but only if she enters that energy zone. Grey succeeds and returns but with some unknown mysterious powers that can make her stronger then never before.
Hello CAPTAIN MARVEL are you listening?, Though Jean has a better beginning you had an incredible role to play in the AVENGERS ENDGAME that ended with a lasting impression. X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is an aftershock an anticlimax that is beyond repair. This tad average conclusion is a mess. GAME OF THRONES fame Sophie Turner is the only saving grace. The CGI is at the most passable in this conclusion that fails to find any solid reason for the craziness happening around in this reported 200 million dollar disappointment. How can a twelve movie series find the first time director Simon Kinberg capable to deliver a befitting finale with such a pointless script?. Was this conclusion a mere commercial requirement that wants to cash on its established fan base for the final loot?.
X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX is a huge disappointment an epic disaster which arguably is the worst in the franchise.
