Adele has made a fan’s dream come true after sending him a personal message on social media to thank him for keeping her entertained over lockdown.

Colyn Elliott, a superfan who runs a fan account for the singer, was left stunned after the ‘Someone Like You’ singer herself replied to one of his Instagram Story posts last week.

Elliott had issued a public plea on Friday to make her long-awaited chart return sooner rather than later, to which Adele responded in a direct message.

“Please release new music soon, we all miss you so much,” he posted on his Instagram Story, tagging the songstress hoping to grab her attention.

The 32-year-old, responded: “Your twitter account has entertained me all the way through Covid.”

“You look like so much fun! I’m absolutely chuffed you like my music. Keep loving your life, it’s so lovely and infectious to see from every angle.”

Surprised with the heartfelt message, Colyn Elliott who was left in shock and, soon after tears, shared the post from his Twitter account, writing: “ADELE JUST DM’D ME ON TWITTER. ALL THROUGH COVID?!?!?!?! OMG. IM BAWLING MY EYES OUT.”

Sharing a screenshot of the DM, he added: “Adele I hope it was okay I tweeted this I was just so excited I wanted to tell my friends!!!!”

According to reports, the Grammy winner often uses her social media accounts to interact with fans. She recently responded to another fan who requested an update on her next release.

“I honestly have no idea,” Adele replied.
