‘Chaos Walking’ has been delayed yet again.
The much-awaited sci-fi film starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in the lead, was originally set to premiere back in March 2019, but was delayed to several complications pushing it back to an eventual release of January 2021, reports DigitalSpy.
However it seems that we have to wait a little longer for the film, as Lionsgate recently announced that the post-apocalyptic adventure’s release has been pushed back from January 2021 to March 2021.
Apart from this, the studio has also released a new clip which sees Todd (Tom Holland) meeting Viola (Daisy Ridley) for the first time, along with a set of new stills for the upcoming action flick.
‘Chaos Walking’ is based on Patrick Ness’ 2008 novel ‘The Knife of Never Letting Go’ and follows a young man named Todd (Holland) who discovers a young woman named Viola (Ridley), on a planet called New World where all the women had mysteriously disappeared.
The film is directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) along with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ famed writer Christopher Ford who co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick Ness, per JustJaredJr.
The official synopsis for ‘Chaos Walking’ is as follows: “In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display.
