Dame Vera Margaret Lynn, a British singer, songwriter and entertainer dies at the age of 103 today on 18th June 2020.
Dame Vera Margaret Lynn became popular during Second World War who gave outdoor concerts for the troops and was widely known as “the Forces’ Sweetheart”. The British Army and Boris Johnson Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has also expressed their condolence.
The British Army posted “Today with the sad passing of Dame Vera Lynn, we have lost our Sweetheart. But We Know We’ll Meet Again… Rest in Peace Dame Vera from all in your Army.’
