Is The Weeknd’s new song title inspired by Selena Gomez?


The Weeknd recently teased his fans about an upcoming song titled 'Like Selena' on his social media. As per the ASCAP website, the singer has already registered a song by the name.

While the singer has not yet revealed anything about any of his upcoming projects, may report suggest that the song is inspired by his former-ex Selena Gomez.

The 'Starboy' singer returned to Instagram after taking a short break to tease about the possible music release. "the fall starts tomorrow night," he captioned his post, alongside a blurry black-and-white image.

He later uploaded the same snapshot to his Instagram Stories along with a message that read: "tomorrow night we start again."


Selena Gomez and The Weeknd began dating in Jan. 2017, however, they parted by October of the same year. The singer is currently dating model Bella Hadid.
