Canadian hip-hop star Drake's surprise headline appearance at Tyler, the Creator's annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival ended in embarrassment, after he was booed by fans.
The rapper made a surprise entrance at the event on Sunday in a headline slot which was also split between Lil Uzi Vert and ASAP Rocky. A number of videos, including an Instagram live recording has gone viral, which suggested that fans were expecting Frank Ocean would be the special guest.
However, the viral footage on social media seemingly shows Drake choosing to bring a premature end to his slot, after facing lots of criticism from fans. In one of the footage, Drake is seen telling the audience: "Like I said, I'm here for you," and, "If you want me to keep going, I'll keep going."
The rapper was then met with a chorus of "no!"s and booing, to which he replied "It's been, love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me," before leaving the stage.
Other acts on Sunday’s line-up at annual Camp Flog Gnaw included the likes of Brockhampton, H.E.R, YG and Blood Orange.
