Action star Dwayne Johnson also known as the ‘The Rock’ has finally confirmed about the much-awaited 'Black Adam' movie.
The 47-year-old star took to his Instagram account on Thursday, where he revealed that 'Black Adam' will hit theaters on December 22, 2021, along with an artwork depicting The Rock as 'Black Adam'.
"The DC comic’s superhero character is blessed by magic with powers equal to Superman. Adam is rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who will always do right for the people," Johnson wrote as he described the character.
Announcing the release date of the film, the actor also shared his first look as ‘Black Adam’ dressed in a black suit with a cape and lit eyes. A lighting sign is also seen on around the neckline of the costume.
The actor also described himself as a "kid with a good heart, who, 'just liked to do things my way,' adding that he still has the 'same DNA' as a man' and now his 'superhero dreams have come true."
Black Adam first appeared in DC Comics in the 1940s as a villain corrupted by power. The character became an anti-hero in the early 2000s.
