"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke says she would love to play the iconic fictional British spy James Bond if the producers plan a gender switch in the future. Clarke has put her name out to be the first woman to take on the 007 mantle after Daniel Craig calls it a day.
Daniel is set to create a Bond-shaped vacancy when he leaves the role after 13 years. Work's still going on the next entry of the 25th Bond film into the franchise, No Time To Die, which is set for an April 2020 release.
The actress was asked if she would like to essay the role of the spy, to which replied, "Yeah! Of course! Hell to the yeah."
"James Bond is one of those franchises where it's never not cool. You could literally make the naffest James Bond in the world and it would still be cool," Clarke added.
The Daenerys Targaryen actress was last seen in the festive film 'Last Christmas' opposite 'Crazy Rich Asians' star Henry Golding.
'Last Christmas' is a romantic comedy film directed by Paul Feig & also features Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh in key roles.
