Production for the highly anticipated ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ has resumed, with the cast and crew returning to Malta.
Brand new images from the set of ‘Jurassic World 3’ have been revealed, showing the original trio along with what appears to be a brand new, terrifying species of dinosaur.
New set photos tweeted out by a Jurassic World fan account, show a new never seen before dinosaur design, according to the tweet, “Dominion’s Pyroraptor.”

Now this is just a maquette not an animatronic so it’s used for reference and the design might change for the final film.
The close-up photo of the horrifying design, along with the photo of crew members holding the dinosaur heads, show that it is, as the fan says, “just a maquette not an animatronic so it’s used for reference.”

The tweet reportedly highlights that the design for the rather scary looking dinosaur which could be the Pyroraptor, may change when seen in the finished product.
Production for ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ began earlier this year, but was shut down in mid-March along with most Hollywood productions due to coronavirus pandemic.
Jeff Goldblum will make his fourth appearance as the eccentric Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming ‘Jurassic World: Dominion.’
He will reunite with his ‘Jurassic Park’ co-stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern as Doctors Alan Grant, and Ellie Sattler, respectively. The film also features ‘Jurassic World’ stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively.
Goldblum spoke with The Insider about returning to the set while filming in the UK.
“I’ve been here about a month or so,” Goldblum said. “There were some terrific protocols and quarantining going on. We’re very safe. It’s a big production. We’re shooting already, it’s going spectacularly, I think.”
The actor teased some minute details about the first scene he shot for ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ along with the original cast from the Jurassic Park.
“The first thing that we shot … it was a scene with me and Laura Dern and Sam Neil and we were — I can’t tell you much — but we were all day in a very tight, enclosed space,” he continued.
“You’ll see — it’s a mystery you’ll solve when you see [the movie.] The three of us were in a tiny little space and we were being menaced by — I can’t even tell you — a surprising faction of prehistoric creatures that you’ve never seen before.”
“We were acting in a life and death situation,” he added further. “We think it might be the last moments of our lives and we’re all bonding with each other in an emotional and somewhat hilarious way.”
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film opens in theaters on June 11, 2021.
