'Riverdale' star Cole Sprouse has won not one, but two awards at the recently held 2019 People's Choice Awards on Sunday at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
The 27-year-old actor won awards for his work in television and films. Cole won The Drama Movie Star of 2019 for his work in Five Feet Apart, beating out Once Upon a Time in Hollywood‘s Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, Glass‘ Samuel L. Jackson and Sarah Paulson, Rocketman‘s Taron Egerton, Us‘ Lupita Nyong’o, and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile‘s Zac Efron. The other award that Cole won was The Male TV Star of 2019 for his work on Riverdale.
At the event, Sprouse hilariously joked about beating out some of his A-list peers.
"To some of the other newcomers in this category, specifically Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, just keep your heads up," the Riverdale actor quipped. The actor further added "Don't let this dishearten you. You guys are going to be here one day. The three of us, we've had this competition for a long time. But, apparently, this is my year."
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are Hollywood's "it" couple. On Sunday, Nov. 10, Sprouse showed up to the red carpet solo because Reinhart couldn't attend.
Reinhart celebrated Sprouse's big win in her own special way. Both Riverdale stars were up for several awards at the People's Choice Awards. Lili was nominated for Drama TV Star and Female TV Star, while Sprouse was nominated for Male TV Star and Dream Movie Star. The actress took to Instagram where she congratulated Sprouse.
