Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr defend Chris Pratt over ‘Worst Hollywood Chris’ label

Avengers co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr have come to Chris Pratt's defense, urging fans to leave him alone

Chris Pratt seems to be one of the most hated Hollywood actor’s.

The ‘Jurassic World’ actor has been trending for all the wrong reasons, after netizens yet again decided which Hollywood Chris should be kicked out.

However, some of his famous friends sought to defend the actor after Internet users branded him ‘Hollywood’s Worst Chris’ over his conservative political beliefs and Christian faith, reports Dailymail.

The age-old debate was revived over the weekend on Saturday, after filmmaker Amy Berg shared pictures of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Chris Pine, and Chris Evans alongside the prompt, “One has to go.”

The tweet has reportedly amassed thousands of comments, with many fans suggesting that Chris Pratt should “go,” citing his rumored political views and his support of Hillsong Church – which has been accused of homophobia, claims he has denied.

Now, the 41-year-old actor’s Avengers co-stars have come to his defense on Tuesday, urging fans to leave him alone and refocus on the upcoming presidential election.

Chris Pratt’s fellow Marvel buddy Mark Ruffalo hit back at critics for bullying the actor, who appeared alongside him in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in 2018 and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in 2019.

“You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life,” wrote Ruffalo. “He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”

Robert Downey Jr also slammed netizens sharing a lengthy message in support of Chris Pratt.

“What a world… The ‘sinless’ are casting stones at my brother, Chris Pratt… A real Christian who lives by principle has never demonstrated anything but positivity and gratitude,” the Iron Man star wrote. “AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value. If you take issue with Chris … I’ve got a novel idea. Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness.”

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn also came in support of the actor, adding, “Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world. I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian.”
