Though the film will be produced with Jackson's Estate, King and screenwriter John Logan revealed that they will share the good, and the bad for an accurate portrayal of the singer.

The movie will be showcasing Jackson's journey from a child star to a global icon, that ended with his tragic death in 2009 at the age of 50 due to overdose from a powerful sleeping aid just weeks before a planned comeback concert.
