‘The Empty Man’ trailer has been released and it teases a new evil spirit heading your way.
20th Century Studios dropped the official trailer for the upcoming supernatural horror movie ‘The Empty Man’, which will open in theaters soon.
Written and directed by David Prior, the film is based on a popular series of Boom! Studios graphic novels by Cullen Bunn and Vanesa R. Del Rey.
‘The Empty Man’ revolves around stories told in a small Midwestern town around the disappearance of local teens. The locals living there believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man. As a retired cop investigates the mystery behind their disappearance, he discovers a secret group trying to summon a horrific, mystical entity.
As the trailer explains, “If you’re on a bridge and you find a bottle, you blow into it and you think about the Empty Man… The first night you hear him, and on the second night you see him… on the third night, he finds you.”
Here’s the official synopsis for the film: “20th Century Studios’ ‘The Empty Man’ is a supernatural horror film based on a popular series of Boom! Studios graphic novels. After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man.”
“As a retired cop investigates and struggles to make sense of the stories, he discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity, and soon his life—and the lives of those close to him—are in grave danger.”
James Badge Dale (The Departed, World War Z) plays the former detective who investigates the mystery. The film also stars Samantha Logan, Stephen Root, Ron Canada, Marin Ireland, Robert Aramayo, Sasha Frolova, and Joel Courtney.
The movie arrives in theaters on October 23rd.
