Anne Hathaway just gave fans a glimpse of her creepy transformation and it’s scary.
The 37-year-old Oscar winner, who previously starred in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and the ‘Princess Diaries,’ took to Instagram where she shared some behind-the-scenes clips revealing her terrifying look.
Hathaway, who plays the role of the Grand High Witch in the remake of ‘The Witches’, looks completely unrecognizable in the short video as she shows off her character’s sharp teeth in a wide, fiendish grin.
“What has a witch ever done to you?” Anne Hathaway captioned the clip which also featured a few teasers from the upcoming film.
At one point, the actress also unveiled her horrifying transformation into a bald witch with long sharp teeth and a enormous Joker-style grin over her face.
Apart from Anne Hathaway, the footage also featured her fellow co-stars Octavia Spencer, Jahzir Kadeem and Stanley Tucci.
Octavia, who plays the Grandmother, said: “The witches wear long gloves up to their elbows,” before adding, “don’t have hands; they have claws, apparently.”
Anne Hathaway’s ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ co-star Stanley also added that witches can be identified because of their “larger nostrils than most.”
Jahzir, who plays the Boy, then pointed out, “they don’t have any toes.”
‘The witches’, set to be released on HBO Max ahead of Halloween, is a remake of the classic 1990s film of the same name, which is in turn based on a Roald Dahl story.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film was originally set to release in October. However the date was pushed back because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
More recently, the movie was completely removed from theaters and will now be streaming exclusively on HBO Max in the US, though fans outside of the US will still be able to see it in theaters on October 22.
